We’re headed back to the 90’s in our latest edition of Happy Valley Rewind, as fellow three fellow “90’s children” Tim, Jared, and Bennett do a deep dive and talk about their memories of the epic 1997 clash with Ohio State at Beaver Stadium (especially with Tim and Jared being in attendance for this one as bright-eyed teenagers). Come for the Curtis Enis and Aaron Harris gushing, stay for the 90’s Internet discussion!

The full broadcast of the game can be seen below. Also, a trigger warning: There are numerous zoom-ins and mentions throughout the broadcast of a certain former defensive coordinator, who I’m pretty sure doesn’t need to be named around here.

Rio Ferdinand believes Barcelona will be getting one of the bargains of the transfer window if they sign Marcus Rashford this summer.

The Catalan giants have the option of making his move permanent at the end of the season for just £26 million.

United outline firm stance in Rashford talks

However, it’s thought they’re unwilling to even shell out the fee.

Reports have suggested that Barcelona would like to take Rashford on loan for another campaign or negotiate a lower price tag.

They won’t get much joy with either option, though, as Manchester United are completely closed off to both.

The Red Devils have made it clear they will only facilitate Rashford’s departure if their demands are met. Otherwise, they’re happy for him to return to Carrington at the end of the term in order for INEOS chiefs to find an alternative suitor for him.

In the meantime, the 28-year-old added to his account for the Blaugrana in their crunch La Liga clash away to Atletico Madrid on Saturday night, scoring an equaliser in the first half before Robert Lewandowski secured the win in the closing stages.

The victory meant that Barcelona extended their gap atop the table to seven points over second-placed Real Madrid.

Hansi Flick’s side host Atleti this evening in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, so Rashford will be aiming to replicate his stellar display on the European stage, where he’s excelled throughout the season.

What did Ferdinand have to say about Rashford and Barcelona?

When weighing in on the United graduate’s potential permanent switch to Camp Nou, Ferdinand said (as cited by Manchester Evening News): “If Barcelona get him for the reported £26m that we’re talking about, and they get that version of Marcus Rashford (who scored vs Atletico), that is an absolute robbery, it’s a steal.

“So, as I said, I’ll just say good luck to him, I want him to do well, you know what I mean? Because I’ve seen him grow as a young player at Man United, and good luck to him in that sense.”

Yankees make 10-game NYY franchise history not achieved since 1953

The New York Yankees have begun the 2026 MLB season in brilliant fashion.

Much of the credit has to go to the Yanks' pitching staff, which has shut down opposing lineups nearly across the board so far.

The pitching coupled with timely hitting has allowed the Yankees to start 8-2, which is great.

But when combined with the fact that they've allowed just 25 total runs so far (24 earned), they're actually making franchise history.

Only once before have the Yankees begun the season with at least eight wins in 10 games while allowing 25 runs or less, according to NY Yankees Stats -- that was in 1953.

For those doing the math at home, that was 73 years ago.

The Yanks allowed three runs on Tuesday night in a comeback win over the Athletics. It was Cam Schlittler's "worst" start of the year and still a very solid one.

Some of you might be wondering if those 1953 Yankees provide a good omen. Yes, they do.

That team ended the regular season 99-52, winning the American League pennant.

In the World Series, they needed six games to dispatch of the Brooklyn Dodgers and claim a world title for Casey Stengel's bunch.

That Yankees pitching staff was led by Whitey Ford and Eddie Lopat.

The offense included Yogi Berra, Mickey Mantle, Hank Bauer, Gene Woodling, Phil Ruzzuto, Gil McDougald, Billy Martin and Joe Collins.

This year's Yankees have a strong team across the board. Maybe they can claim a world championship, too.

Italy legend Andrea Pirlo bids farewell to his former Brescia and Inter coach Mircea Lucescu: ‘You raised me like a son, I’ll never stop thanking you.’

Lucescu, a former coach of Pisa, Inter, Reggiana, and Brescia, died on Tuesday, aged 80.

Italian legend Pirlo made his Serie A debut at Brescia in 1995, aged 16. Lucescu had been sacked by the Rondinelle a few months earlier but remained at the club as the technical director.

Pirlo made his Serie A debut under Lucescu’s assistant Adelio Moro with Brescia already relegated to Serie B.

“Thank you for everything, mister. I will never stop thanking you,” Pirlo wrote on Instagram, posting a picture of him hugging Lucescu.

Official: Andrea Pirlo is the new head coach of the Dubai-based United FC of the UAE first division.

“You raised me like a son, giving me the opportunity to challenge myself with others when I was very young. You taught me what it means to love this sport in all its details. I will never stop thanking you. Have a good trip, mister. Thank you, Mircea.”

A few years later, Pirlo played under Lucescu at Inter, making 16 appearances in the 1998-99 campaign.

The Nerazzurri have also paid tribute to their former coach with a message on social media.
