Cowboys TE Fant carted off with knee injury

Cowboys tight end Princeton Fant was carted off from Monday's practice with an apparent left knee injury and is scheduled for an MRI.

Fant took a knee-to-knee hit after being blocked backward into running back Israel Abanikanda during the Cowboys' first padded practice of training camp. He was unable to put weight on his left leg, requiring a cart to leave the field.

Fant signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2023. He has appeared in 11 games in three seasons, playing mostly on special teams. The Cowboys also have Jake Ferguson, Brevyn Spann-Ford and Luke Schoonmaker at the position. sweetbonanza.qpon
