Payton Defends Nix Against Schwartz Criticism

When questioned about his response, Payton explained he couldn't help but react to what he considered an inaccurate assessment. "That was crazy wasn't it?" Payton told reporters. "I can't help myself though. When I see something like that, I'm sorry, it's just, I have a pause and then it's like, 'What are you watching?'" He emphasized that Schwartz, who played at Oregon where Nix also played, should have watched the tape before making such comments.
