With 38-year-old reigning MVP Matthew Stafford approaching the twilight of his career, the Rams face an interesting dilemma at the No. 13 pick. Despite having arguably the NFL's best roster and being Super Bowl favorites, Stafford has considered retirement and won't last forever.
The Rams could target quarterback Ty Simpson, whose stock has been rising despite his inexperience (15 college starts). Simpson would likely benefit from sitting and learning behind Stafford and offensive genius Sean McVay, creating a seamless transition when Stafford eventually moves on. However, the Rams don't pick again until No. 61, making it challenging to find a franchise quarterback later in the draft.
