Shanahan Hopes Bosa Returns to Practice Next Week

San Francisco 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan expressed hope that defensive end Nick Bosa will return to practice next week after missing time due to knee pain.

Shanahan stated that Bosa, who has not practiced since August 3 because of pain in his surgically repaired right knee, is improving. The coach wants to see Bosa participate in the three practices scheduled before the 49ers depart for Australia for their season opener against the Rams. milkshake.it.com

Bosa suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in Week Three of last season and previously missed most of the 2020 season after tearing his left ACL. "He's doing good. Hoping he can get into practice next week," Shanahan said, noting the team will evaluate Bosa's progress after the mandatory three days off following the end of preseason.
