Kimi Antonelli secured victory at the Japanese Grand Prix, overcoming a stalled start to claim the title of the youngest championship leader in F1 history.

After starting from pole position, Antonelli stalled at the start but rallied to finish first, aided by a safety car that benefited his Mercedes team.

His teammate, George Russell, had the race in hand until the safety car intervened, handing Antonelli the win and the lead in the drivers' standings.
