Atletico Madrid stun Barcelona at Camp Nou for first time in 20 years

Atletico Madrid secured a historic 2-0 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Champions League quarter-final first leg, ending a 20-year wait for a win there.

Goals from Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth ensured Diego Simeone’s side took a commanding lead into the second leg in Madrid. Despite Barcelona dominating possession and having a goal ruled out, the visitors capitalized on a red card for defender Pau Cubarsi before the break to take the lead. Atletico were clinical on the counterattack, sealing the win late through Sorloth.
