Bears Seek Quick Stadium Decision

Chicago Bears officials aim to choose between Arlington Heights and Indiana for a new stadium by spring or summer 2023, targeting an opening by 2030. Team President Kevin Warren emphasized the need for quick decisions due to rising costs and financial market uncertainty.

The team is considering two proposals: a $2 billion stadium in Illinois with $855 million in state infrastructure funding, or a $2 billion stadium in Indiana with $1 billion in state funding through new taxes. Despite environmental concerns, Bears officials found "no issues" at the 340-acre Indiana site near Wolf Lake.
