Georgia State Unveils 5-Year Plan to Raise $10M in Fundraising

Georgia State Athletics has unveiled a five‑year plan to raise annual fundraising to $10 million and boost fan attendance by 50%. The strategy focuses on facility upgrades and increased revenue sharing for student‑athletes.

The plan, announced by Athletics Director Charlie Cobb, sets a target of $10 million in annual fundraising and a 50 % rise in fan attendance. It also aims to win conference championships in football and men’s basketball within five years.

Key projects include a new baseball stadium, covered football practice field, and expanded practice facilities for basketball, volleyball, and softball, as part of the Summerhill “College Town Downtown” vision. The university will also exceed $3 million in revenue sharing for student‑athletes through NIL and other opportunities, supported by a new general manager focused on revenue growth.
