Giants Star Dexter Lawrence Requests Trade

New York Giants star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence has requested a trade and will not participate in the team's upcoming offseason program.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Lawrence and the Giants have failed to reach a new contract agreement after two offseasons of negotiations. The 28-year-old, a former first-round pick, has reportedly requested a trade.

Head coach John Harbaugh previously praised Lawrence as a "very big stone" for the team's defense. With the 2026 season kicking off under new leadership, the Giants face the prospect of losing their defensive anchor.
