Haiti and the Democratic Republic of the Congo have earned places in the expanded 48‑team 2026 World Cup, ending 52‑year absences from the tournament. Haiti qualified outright via a CONCACAF berth, while DR Congo won a play‑in match against Jamaica. Iraq also secured a spot, making its first appearance since 1986 after defeating Bolivia 2-1.
