Hoel Wins Thrilling 53km Classic Race

Johan Hoel secured victory in the 53km classic style race at Toppidrettsveka on Hitra on Friday evening. The Norwegian skier and Swedish competitor Tage Borjesson engaged in a dramatic duel after creating a significant gap to the rest of the field. 19-year-old Leopold Strand, a double junior world champion, led the race for much of the distance before being caught in the final stages.

In the women's category, Sweden dominated with a podium sweep as Stina Nilsson won the sprint finish ahead of Louise Lindström and Moa Ilar. Among Norwegian skiers, Harald Østberg Amundsen achieved the best result with a 7th place finish.
