Lepaul Aims to Finish Ligue 1 Top Scorer

Rennes forward Esteban Lepaul is targeting the Ligue 1 top‑scorer trophy with 14 goals, just behind Marseille’s Mason Greenwood and Strasbourg’s Joaquín Panichelli. With seven games left, he aims to finish the season as the league’s leading scorer.

Lepaul, 25, has netted 14 Ligue 1 goals, placing him third in the league’s scoring charts behind Mason Greenwood (15) and Joaquín Panichelli (16). Panichelli’s ACL injury has left him sidelined, leaving Lepaul with a clear path to the top‑scorer title as the season nears its end.

In an interview with RMC Sport, Lepaul said, “I want to finish top scorer… it would be magnificent.” He added that a France call‑up is not his priority, focusing instead on meeting the objectives he set at the start of the campaign. Rennes currently sit seventh and are in contention for European qualification.
