Panthers Score Fastest Goal in Team History

Noah Gregor scored 8 seconds into Tuesday's game against the Ottawa Senators, setting a new Panthers record and the fastest goal of the NHL season.

Noah Gregor pounced on a rebound off the end boards just seconds after the opening faceoff to give Florida an early lead. The goal shattered the previous franchise record of 10 seconds set in 1996 and is currently the fastest goal to start a game in the NHL this year.

It was the start of a dominant night for the Panthers, who went on to chase Ottawa goalie Linus Ullmark and win 5-0 in the first 14 minutes of play.
