Welsh district cancels EGM after WRU chair steps down

Central Glamorgan Rugby Union has withdrawn its motions and cancelled an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) following the resignation of WRU chair Richard Collier-Keywood.

Central Glamorgan Rugby Union (CGRU) has withdrawn its motions and called off an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) following the resignation of WRU chair Richard Collier-Keywood. The union cited the exits of Collier-Keywood and PRB chair Malcolm Wall as achieving their campaign objectives. Instead of the meeting, CGRU will seek constructive engagement with the WRU board on governance changes. Collier-Keywood is set to leave on 16 July, with Marianne Okland appointed as interim PRB chair.
