Deion Sanders is many things to many people. A Pro Football Hall-of-Famer, two-sport legend, major college football coach with the largest social media following. What he is not, is one to trust everyone.
Sanders and Coach Prime are not the same person. It's weird to say, but he has told this story before. Sanders is the person, the father and Connie’s son. Prime is the persona that started back in Florida State. Prime Time was an alter ego character that he created so he could be the person he needed to be under the lights and get to where he wanted to go. Deion controls Prime, not the other way around.
Prime is the public persona, but every now and then a situation forces Deion to peek out from behind Prime. Fans were shown one of those moments recently on Sanders’ Tubi series We Got Time Today.
As part of their Valentine’s Day itinerary, Sanders and girlfriend Karreuche Tran enjoyed a couples massage. Before enjoying the date, Karreuche asked why Sanders was completely dressed. In the video first posted by Tran, you can see Sanders fully clothed with a robe over top of his layers of clothing. She asked him to take the close off (and leave the robe on), to which he emphatically declined.
“I got a facial! Who’s getting butt naked for a facial?” Deion explained on his show. “You want me to strip for a facial? Naw, you’re going here up (gestures from his neck to the top of his head). I asked for neck up. I ain’t no stripper. What am I? Chocolate Prime coming to the stage!”

The initial exchange between Sanders and co-host Rocsi Diaz was entertaining enough. Then, in Sanders fashion, he pivots to a story of sorts to help explain his stance on the massage protocol. The reference made pertains to a college football situation currently ongoing.
Sanders references Sherrone Moore
“I don’t know these folks,” Sanders said about the spa staff. “You know what just happened to the brother at University of Michigan? Hey, hey. Not me. … I’m not gonna bring my ship down. No.”
Sanders was clever enough to not mention Moore’s name or any details pertaining to that situation. The mere reference of it, however, does seem consistent with the distance Sanders keeps between him and those not in his trusted circle.

The entire segment from We Got Time Today was only four minutes and Sanders did not provide many details. The tone and message seemed rather clear. Public figures need not take unnecessary risks.
Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes begin Spring Ball practice on March 2.
