Canada has been at the center of multiple controversies in multiple sports during the Winter Olympics. Despite this, there is reason to believe Canada will be a heavy favorite.

Currently, Team Canada has opened up as 1.5-point favorites and -125 money line odds to win. Team USA will enter as the underdogs, with an over/under goals scored of 5.5, and +105 on the money line outright upset.
Team USA last won gold in 1980. Since then, they have won silver in 2002 and 2010. In that 2010 match, Canada defeated the USA.

All things considered, it feels like Team Canada is a relatively slim favorite to win compared. Maybe not “pick-em” odds, but certainly a match where all eyes will be on them.
Multiple former players and coaches have criticized the Canadian officials who made controversial calls in Canada’s semi-final win. This comes after Canada was accused of cheating during their curling games.
