Rondale Moore's Death Under Investigation

Former NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore, 25, has died, with his cause of death under investigation by authorities.

Former Purdue Boilermakers standout and NFL player Rondale Moore was found dead on Feb. 21 in a garage with a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to New Albany police. The 25-year-old former Arizona Cardinals player's cause of death remains under investigation, with an autopsy scheduled for Sunday.

Moore played at Purdue from 2018-2020, earning the Paul Hornung Award in 2018, and was selected by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. His last two NFL seasons were cut short by knee injuries with the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 and Minnesota Vikings in 2025. The Vikings and NFLPA have issued statements offering condolences and support resources.
