Hovland Ends Strong in California

Viktor Hovland concluded with a strong 69 in the PGA tournament in Pacific Palisades, though he was far behind the leaders after barely making the cut.

After barely making the cut following a weak second round, Hovland played the weekend for an honorable position. He shot 70 on Saturday and followed up with a 69 on Sunday, carding four birdies and two bogeys while finishing with a birdie on the final hole.

The Norwegian was among the last to make the cut but was far from contention. American Jacob Bridgeman held a clear lead after consecutive 64s, and most of the field was just beginning their final round when Hovland completed his round.
