Battle was assigned to the G League on Friday and scored 22 points, shooting 6‑of‑13 from beyond the arc in the Raptors 905 win over the Windy City Bulls. The 6‑ft‑7 wing, who has averaged 3.1 points per game in his sophomore season, was recalled by the Raptors on Saturday.
Despite his shooting talent, Battle has been a DNP‑CD in four of the Raptors’ last 10 games and averaged only 6.7 minutes in the six games he played. He will next have a chance to contribute on Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks at 3:30 p.m. ET.
