INDIANAPOLIS -- Fans see the NFL Scouting Combine as a chance to watch players work out, but for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and every other league franchise, it's a chance to get to know the players who might become big parts of their future.
Is he a good teammate?
How high is his football IQ?
Does he have the confidence needed to succeed in the NFL?
The Bucs are allowed to interview as many as 45 prospects this week.
Informally, the Bucs can talk to whoever they want.
But a formal meeting is a bigger deal.
Anybody who meets with the Bucs formally is meeting head coach Todd Bowles, Licht and offensive coordinator Zac Robinson. Pewter Report published a breakdown of which prospects have confirmed that they’re meeting the Bucs.
