Saturday Headlines: Vanderbilt Gameday

Good morning, BBN!

It’s revenge time for the Kentucky Wildcats as they take on the Vanderbilt Commodores at 2:00 PM EST. at Rupp Arena. You can watch the game on ESPN.

Kentucky scraped by this past Tuesday against a below-average South Carolina team.

Otega Oweh probably had his worst SEC performance so far, but luckily, Denzel Aberdeen turned in one of his best performances as a Cat and led them to victory.

It’s pretty clear what the blueprint is for the Cats: Play your best players for as many minutes as you can.

Coach Mark Pope has harped on rotation all year and ensuring reserves get their time to give the starters rest. It simply hasn’t worked, and it’s time that they close the season out with guys who are performing, which are their starters.

The last time Kentucky saw Vandy, they were run out of the gym. An embarrassing effort all around. We’ll see if things will be different at home.

What do you think, will they get the victory?
