No one is safe from social media trolls. Just ask Christian Watson's father, Tazim Wajid Wajed.

Wajed is no stranger to voicing his opinions on social media. When the Packers drafted fellow WR Matthew Golden in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Wajed hosted a live reaction on his podcast and called the Packers "idiots" and followed up with, "They don't want to win... They deserve whatever they get."

Now, he has made his presence known on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The father of the Green Bay Packers' wide receiver exchanged words with a user who called out his son's frequent injury history.

Watson's father was quick to hop to the defense of his son, and even caused the troll to backtrack and delete his original callout.

What did Christian Watson's dad say?

In response to the troll, Watson's father educated the user of his connection to the Packer and called the user a "dumba—" and stated that he has watched every down of his career. 

He also mentioned that Watson missed 3 total games in his entire career from injury that have been source-diagnosed and corrected before his NFL injuries.  

Furthermore, he mentioned that his son ran the entire route tree at North Dakota State, and continues to run it in the NFL.

Christian Watson injury history

Since being drafted to the Green Bay Packers in 2022, the wide receiver has missed 19 games due to injury.

Here is a history of Watson's injuries that have caused him to miss games:

2022 hamstring sprain: 3 games

Watson missed 1 game in Week 3, then reaggravated the injury in Week 5. He sat out Week 6 and Week 7.

2023 Grade 2 hamstring sprain: 3 games

At the end of training camp, Watson strained his right hamstring, causing him to miss Weeks 1-3. He made his season debut in Week 4 vs. the Lions.

2023 Grade 2 hamstring sprain: 5 games

Watson reinjured his hamstring in Week 13 vs. the Chiefs and missed the remainder of the 2023 season.

2024 Grade 2 pedal ankle sprain: 1 game

Watson sprained his ankle in Week 4's game against the Vikings. He missed one game.

2024 Knee bruise: 1 game

Watson suffered a knee bruise in Week 16's game against New Orleans. He missed one game.

2025 Grade 3 ACL tear: 6 games

Watson suffered a non-contact ACL tear that sidelined him for six weeks. He returned for Week 8 of 2025.

Who is Christian Watson's dad?

Christian Watson's father, Tim (who today, goes by Tazim Wajid Wajed), was drafted to the Packers in the sixth round (No. 156 overall) in the 1993 NFL Draft out of Howard University.

He was eventually cut by the Packers, but later played for the Kansas City Chiefs (1993-1995), New York Giants (1995), and Philadelphia Eagles (1997). Outside of the NFL, he also played in the World League of American Football for the Barcelona Dragons and the Arena Football League for the Arizona Rattlers.

He holds the record for blocked kicks at Howard, with seven, and was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005.
