Hilton vs Pittsford score, updates from Section V hockey championship

This season's Class A hockey final pits one of Section V's winningest programs against a newcomer.

Pittsford is the defending section champion, and every bit as dangerous as the group that reached the state semifinal last season. The Panthers are second in Section V in goals scored this season (111) and are among the leaders in goals against (41).

This game is uncharted waters for the Cadets, who failed to make last season's final despite a 19-win regular season and the top seed for the large school tournament. Despite significant roster turnover, Hilton bettered last year's squad by springing over the semifinal hump.

These teams should be familiar with one another, having played earlier this month in a 2-1 win for Pittsford.
