The New Orleans Saintspicked up Chris Olave's $15.49 million team option for the 2026 season. This will keep him with the Saints for at least one more season.

With that being said, Olave, 25, is set to take on free agency in the summer of 2027.

After the best season of his career in 2025, logging 100 receptions for 1,163 yards and nine touchdowns, an insider predicted that the Saints would be offering a large payday for the All-Pro wideout.

Insider predicts $30 million-a-year contract for Chris Olave

While assessing the long-term outlook for Chris Olave, Saints insider Jeff Nowak believes that New Orleans is going to extend the veteran when the time comes.

"He's going to get an extension from the Saints," the insider said. "I think the Saints are going to give him a contract that's somewhere in the average of $30 million annually, and he's going to be the guy here for the long-term."

Olave has also expressed his interest in staying with the Saints long-term.

He told ESPN, "This (New Orleans) is where I want to be, man. They took a chance on me. They traded up in the draft to be able to come get me. They've been nothing but good to me."

Besides a 2024 season where Olave played in just eight games due to injuries, he's exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in the other three seasons he's been with the Saints.

With Chris Olave already having chemistry with 2025 second-round pick Tyler Shough, locking down a reliable pass-catcher like himself seems to be the right thing to do in New Orleans.
