The Miami Dolphins have a massive decision to make this offseason with Tua Tagovailoa. After cutting Tyreek Hill and Bradley Chubb, Tagovailoa could be next.

But, ideally, the Dolphins will find a way to trade him and get anything back in return for a veteran quarterback who will likely land with a new team this offseason if he isn't in Miami.

Unfortunately for the Dolphins, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano, Tagovailoa is not expected to be traded, and instead, the Dolphins are set to cut the lefty QB and take on a $99.2 million dead cap charge.

"The Dolphins will almost certainly designate him as a post-June 1 release to help defray some of the $99.2 million in dead money it will cost to release him," Graziano writes.

Miami, despite searching for trade partners this offseason for its $212 million quarterback, is not likely to find a trade partner.

Graziano writes that he is "skeptical" that the Dolphins will be able to find a trade based on his conversations with teams around the league.

This situation makes a ton of sense. What team would want to spend draft capital and take on a huge chunk of Tagovailoa's contract in a trade?

The lefty quarterback struggled in a big way last year, throwing for 20 touchdowns and 2,660 yards on 67.7% completion percentage with 15 interceptions and eight fumbles for a total of 23 giveaways.

The lefty quarterback struggled last season, and with his massive cap hit, there's little reason for a team to trade for him. And even if a team is interested in taking a flier, they could wait for Tagovailoa to be cut and sign him to a veteran minimum deal.

A Tagovailoa trade was always going to be incredibly unlikely, and based on this report from Graziano, it looks more likely than ever that Tagovailoa will be released with a post-June 1 designation this offseason.
