21st-ranked Miami stays unbeaten with road win

Brant Byers scored 16 points as No. 21 Miami remained the nation's only unbeaten team, defeating Eastern Michigan 74-64 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Miami improved to 28-0 overall and 15-0 in the Mid-American Conference. Peter Suder recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, scoring his 1,500th career point. Antwone Woolfolk added 14 points and Almar Atlason contributed 12 off the bench.

The RedHawks led 12-0 early and took a 43-22 halftime advantage. Miami's next game is Friday at Western Michigan.
