Capitals Hold Off Golden Knights' Comeback

The Capitals built a 3-0 lead in the second period with Dubois netting two goals and Jakob Chychrun adding his 22nd of the season. The Golden Knights mounted a late comeback with Braeden Bowman and Tomas Hertl scoring in the third period, but Washington held on for the win.

The victory moves the Capitals within two points of the New York Islanders for third place in the Metropolitan Division and within two of Boston for the Eastern Conference's second wild card. Washington is now 2-0 since the Olympic break and has won six of its last seven games.
