Golfer Pavan Discharged After Elevator Shaft Fall

Pavan, 36, was hospitalized following the accident during the DP World Tour's Investec South African Open last week. The Italian golfer underwent surgery on his shoulder and back after suffering fractures to several vertebrae.

He will remain in South Africa for approximately five more weeks of rehabilitation before returning to the United States. 'It truly feels like a miracle to be able to walk and start to do some basic activities, though at a very slow and careful pace,' Pavan wrote on social media.
