Lincoln Stuns O'Dea, Advances to State Quarters

Lincoln High School stunned No. 2 O'Dea with a 71-58 victory in the 3A state tournament regional round, advancing to the quarterfinals at the Tacoma Dome.

Lincoln, the No. 6 seed, dominated the favored Irish as sophomores Davion Shareef-Dulaney scored 22 points and Justus Holt added a game-high 23. The Abes built an early lead and never looked back, silencing Seattle's Metro League pride with their performance.

O'Da, which had only lost in-state to No. 1 Rainier Beach this season, struggled to find offense throughout. Senior guard Brian Webster led O'Dea with 16 points, but it wasn't enough as Lincoln executed their game plan to perfection. The victory gives Lincoln a bye into the state tournament quarterfinals next Thursday.
