In the season opener at the Thai GP, 21‑year‑old Pedro Acosta took his first MotoGP victory after a fierce duel with champion Marc Márquez on the final lap. The Spanish rider edged Márquez into the last corner, and a post‑race penalty for the defending champion sealed Acosta’s win.
