Tom Telesco didn’t accomplish a ton in his one year as the Las Vegas Raiders’ general manager (drafting Brock Bowers will always be a great decision, though), but he had some nice moments.
Claiming defensive tackle Jonah Laulu off waivers was certainly one of them. The Las Vegas native was cut by the Indianapolis Colt after being a seventh-round pick. The Raiders immediately claimed him and he’s been a core part of the team’s defensive-line rotation in the past two years.
He had a solid season in 2025 and according to a recent study by Ingame.com, Laulu provided the most financial value of all NFL defensive tackles last season. Laulu, whose salary was just more than $1 million, had 51 tackles and four sacks last season.
Laulu is a fine player and he was definitely worth the waiver claim.
