The jersey, dubbed "Garibaldi Red," symbolizes heroism and indomitable spirit that Italian athletes embody on the pitch.
The special uniforms were unveiled in Quarto dei Mille near Genoa, where Garibaldi launched his "Expedition of the Thousand" in 1860. Both Italy's men's and women's national teams will wear the tribute jersey during their Six Nations campaign, as the teams continue to contest the annual Giuseppe Garibaldi Trophy.
