Preston Judd and Daniel Munie each scored twice in the first half to power the San Jose Earthquakes to a 3-0 win over Sporting Kansas City. Judd opened the scoring at the 46th minute before Munie added two more goals later in the game.
Sporting KC, who underwent a major roster overhaul for the 2026 season under new general manager David Lee and head coach Rafaël Wicky, struggled offensively, finishing last in the Western Conference with 28 goals last season.
